Kopf believes we should thoroughly analyze the costs and potential rewards of how we choose to allocate money. The difference between building an expensive statue and improving a school should be obvious.
Technology
Kopf believes that when technology is applied intelligently, it can improve operations in nearly any department. He uses his blackberry to stay connected and to promptly answer questions he gets. With technology, departments can be more organized and spend working hours more efficently.
Citizen Government
There is no worse government than a government that is keeping secrets from the people. Elected officials are entrusted by the public to work for them, and officials should be open and honest about what they're working on. Citizens should also be given the ability to better communicate directly with their leaders about any issues that are important to them.
Education
Focusing on education is always going to be priority number one. Improving education tackles the roots of some of the toughest issues we might face. If we provide the best education for our youth, they will be able to compete worldwide and live better lives.
